Shannon teaches yoga as a healing practice, and encourages her students to find a balance between strength and flexibility, effort and relaxation, self-study and self-confidence. In Shannon’s classes the postures, as vessels for the breath, are places to explore your habitual reactions to the world and to practice returning to your own center. In this way, you begin to have a new experience of being in your body. As long as we are breathing, we can discover that yoga supports us throughout our days, even in the moments when the world blows wild and stormy.
Shannon trained at Kripalu in Lenox, MA, and is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher.
