The teachers at Room to Move Yoga are attentive to the diverse abilities and needs of the individual students who attend our classes. Until recently, the tradition of teaching yoga was one on one—in contrast to the group classes that are common today—and much of what was transmitted was based on the relationship that developed between teacher and student. The yoga practice is a dynamic process that changes according to the condition, needs, and intention of the practitioner. It is our intention to provide a class setting that encourages inquiry through the practice of asana (seats/postures), pranayama (breath), mantra, (sacred sound), and dhyana (meditation). We invite you to go inward to discover and cultivate a deeper connection to yourself and to the world around you.
